This resembles one of the most Beautiful and Amazing sites my eyes bore witnessed to while upon my long travels through the universe!

A Link To My Vision

Ironically in this case, known as the Crab Nebula, it was the first astronomical object identified by humanity as the result of a truly historic event, a supernova.

Oddly enough, it is theorized and highly probable that present day humans may be lucky enough to experience an explosion of a similar massive star. There are several candidates in our own Milky Way, and many more in our nearest neighbor the Andromeda Galaxy.

If this happens for you, be prepared to gaze upon her with your naked eyes in wonder. For the supernova may be visible to all who stand upon the earth for many centuries. Not nearly as bright as our own star, but bright enough to be seen in a daytime sky. She is sure to be the muse of many and inspire the most gifted artists like nothing ever experienced in all of time...

Let's just hope she is not to close though, like HR 8210, which is within the minimum safe distance of 200 light years. If she goes, we are in serious trouble, as the radiation from the event would wipe out Earths ozone layer and eradicate all life on earth. What can I say, it is a dangerous universe.

A Scary Article

"How far?" asked Ender. "How far are you going with me?"
Graff smiled thinly. "All the way, Ender."
